Shelter
Manager Training Classes
The
CASHP (Capital Area Shelter Hub Plan) is offering 3 additional
Shelter Manager Training Classes for the 2007 season, as
follows:
- Mon,
Sept 17th - Basic
Shelter Manager Training
- Tue, Sept 18th - Refresher
Shelter Manager Training
- Thu, Sept 27th - Basic
Shelter Manager Training
The Basic Classes, Sept 17th and 27th, will be held in
the Austin/Travis County EOC, 5010 Old Manor Rd., Austin,
TX (Mapsco 556X).
The Refresher Class, Sept 18th, will be held in Room #4 at
the Resource Learning Center, 2800 Spirit of Texas Dr., Austin-Bergstrom
Airport (Mapsco 646M). The refresher class is for Shelter
Managers who received CASHP Manager's Training in 2006.

including your name, e-mail address, agency, and daytime phone
number.

Disaster
Recovery Tools and Training Workshop
- Who
should attend? Community leaders,
Social Service Organizations, Church leaders,
Recovery groups, Caseworkers, Long Term Recovery
committee members...all dedicated to helping
rebuild homes and lives.
- Eight
Specialized Training components will be offered for
Long Term Recovery Organizing
- Leadership
will include: Church World Service, FEMA,
Lutheran Disaster Response, American Red Cross,
United Methodist Conference, Presbyterian Disaster
Assistance, Texas Interfaith Interagency Disaster
Response, Texas Conference of Churches, Christian
Reformed World Relief Committee, Texas Voluntary
Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and many
others...
- You will be receiving: Manuals,
Tools and Disaster Resources and experiences to
use immediately.
